When I began working at OVG in August of 2019 I had no idea that what was supposed to be a short term "fill in" position would end up being the job that changed what I wanted to do as a career. As a University of Southern California graduate (Fight On!) with a business degree and plans to start law school the following fall, the veterinary industry was never on my radar for a career. None of that mattered though. It only took me a few months to fall in love with it and know this is where I am meant to be.
While I didn't have plans to work in an animal related industry, it is safe to say I have always loved pets. I moved all over the country as a child, often times more than once in a year. With the constant changes around me there were two things in my life that I knew I could always count on to make any place feel like home: my family and our pets. Knowing how much that bond and relationship means between a person and their pet is a driving motivator to me for our team to commit to excellence in our patient care and client relationships. If it's what I would want for me and my pet, it's what I want to be able to offer to you and yours.
As the hospital administrator I have found a true passion in creating a happy, supportive, and rewarding work environment. Shortly after I started working at OVG we decided to make a commitment to creating a workplace culture and reputation that defies and exceeds industry standards. To me, that commitment is the OVG difference.
Outside of work, I enjoy time cooking and hanging out with my husband Dr. Ned Trathan, and our three children, Mowgli, Hudson, and Sistine. Family time with them, our two yellow labs Kobe and Mochi, and our two cats, is my happy place.
