What is your favorite part about your job? My favorite part about being an RVT is seeing pets leave our care better than when they came to see us.

You can only eat one dish for every meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for a whole month; what meal are you choosing? I would eat Chipotle chips and guacamole for every meal!

Favorite dog breed and why? My favorite dog breed is Labrador retrievers because of their loyalty and love for their humans.

Favorite cat breed and why? I love all cats! I’m a crazy cat lady!

You're stranded on an island for a month; what 4 things are you bringing with you? I would bring a hammock, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a flashlight.

If you had to take one coworker from OVG with you, who would you take and why? I would take April because we are close friends and can make a good time out of anything!

What is your favorite responsibility/task/procedure to perform at work? I love radiology and ultrasound! It’s like getting a sneak peek as to what is going on inside our patient.

What is your number one tip you have for pet owners? It can be anything from care tips, treat/food recommendations, tips before vet visits, etc. From an early age, teach your pets to allow you to play with their paws and ears and look in their mouth. It makes it so much easier for your vet staff!

What's your go to Starbucks drink? My go to at Starbucks is an iced vanilla sweet cream cold brew.

What made you go into the veterinary medicine field for your career? When I got my heart dog Rebel, I wanted to learn how to take the best possible care of him.

What pets do you have at home? (breed & name) I have a black lab/pointer named Rebel, a pitbull named Rocky, a DLH named Alice, and a DSH named Mr. Grey Catsby.

Which OVG core value do you most embody and why? (Passionate, genuine, collaborative, fun, respectful) I embody is respectful and love that each one of us has that for our team members. OVG is like no other vet team out there. The respect shown to everyone is astonishing despite our large size!

What are you most looking forward to in the new hospital? I am looking forward to the space that we will have and the ability to provide our patients in a state of art, well thought out, hospital!

If you could travel to anywhere in the world where would you go and why? I really want to go to Bali; The culture fascinates me.

Who would you consider your biggest mentor/inspiration in your career? Why? My biggest mentor is Dr. Christine McFadden. She is one of the most passionate, kind, and patient individuals I have ever met. She has taught me so much about vet med, and I would not be the technician I am without having known her.
